About this model

A Maya temple pyramid of no particular site: nine stepped terraces, one steep stair up the front between two balustrades, and on the platform a small temple with three doorways and a pierced roof comb. Up to four laptop blades stand in a row inside the pyramid. Its walls are solid, so from outside you see stone steps, never a computer board. Air comes in through slatted vents low in the base and leaves through the temple: out of the doorways and up through the roof comb, which both glow at night. You pick 2, 3 or 4 computers and the pyramid stays the same size: 0.96 x 0.84 m with the stair, under 1 m tall.

Worth knowing

This is the heaviest compact model: about 14.7 kg of filament with two computers and 16.5 kg with four (roughly 505 to 564 hours on a fast printer), more than the compact castle (14.6 kg at four) or the windmill (11.9 kg). A pyramid is mostly shell, and the shell is the same with two computers as with four, so most of the filament goes into it either way. The bottom-row pieces are 22 cm tall, so your printer needs a build height of at least 220 mm. The platform with the temple is not glued down because it is the way in; lift it with both hands.

Prices with VAT as shown in October 2026. Shipping, glue and the boards are not included. Also not counted, if you do not own them: a multimeter (about €8.56) and a power strip (about €15.12).

Budget black PETG.

Drives: every board keeps the drive its laptop came with (system only), so there is nothing to buy. A board bought without one needs a 256 GB M.2 2280 drive (approx. €56). Optional, not in the total: one shared disk of 1 TB or more for the render manager's shared folder, on one laptop board, in its own M.2 slot, or in a USB case (approx. €19) on the base floor. Reuse an old one, or buy a 1 TB M.2 2280 drive for approx. €136–146. Drive prices are approximate (October 2026): check before buying.

To print it at this size: 16.5 kg of PETG. Add 10% for waste and test pieces and that is 19 spools of 1 kg, approx. €266–361 with the PETG below (the shopping list above already includes filament). Print time, estimated: about 913 h with the standard 0.4 mm nozzle (Ender-3 V3 SE class), 564 h with a 0.6 mm nozzle.

Print times are slicer estimates (OrcaSlicer) and may vary by ±15 %.
