About this model
A chunky toy king's crown, not a copy of any real one, shown the way a crown is shown: on a plain pedestal. The pedestal is a square dark purple box with nothing on it. On top sits the gold crown band. Three gems are cut right through each of its four sides, a big one in the middle and a smaller one either side, each shaped like a cut jewel with a flat top and a point at the bottom, and twelve gold points stand on its rim. The wall behind the gems is lit from inside, so at night all twelve gems glow amber, front, back and sides. Up to four laptop blades stand in a row in the pedestal. Its walls are solid, so from outside you never see a computer board. Air comes in through the slatted vents in the plinth and leaves through the gems. You pick 2, 3 or 4 computers and the model stays the same size: 0.50 x 0.50 m, 98 cm tall. A small dark purple jewel sits on the tip of each point. A generic toy crown, with no royal house and no brand.
Worth knowing
About 10.4 kg of filament with two computers and 12.1 kg with four (roughly 350 to 410 hours on a fast printer), in two colours: dark purple for the pedestal, and gold for the crown band, its floor plate, its inner wall and the points. The crown band is printed in nine cells with a thin roof skin and glued together, so handle it with care. The points are thin and glued on by a small foot; they are decoration, never lift the crown by them. The crown (plate, cells, inner wall and points glued into one) is not glued down because it is the way in; lift it straight up with both hands under the edge of its roof, never by the points. It needs two 1 m LED strips, one for each half of the inner wall. By day the gems read only as outlines, because the lit wall behind them is the same gold as the band; the glow is a night effect. The twelve points are thin fins glued on a 1.2 mm roof skin, so a hard knock can snap them off.

Drives: every board keeps the drive its laptop came with (system only), so there is nothing to buy. A board bought without one needs a 256 GB M.2 2280 drive (approx. €56). Optional, not in the total: one shared disk of 1 TB or more for the render manager's shared folder, on one laptop board, in its own M.2 slot, or in a USB case (approx. €19) on the base floor. Reuse an old one, or buy a 1 TB M.2 2280 drive for approx. €136–146. Drive prices are approximate (October 2026): check before buying.
