About this model
A chunky toy crab of no particular story or character: a square dark red body with a cream belly striped in red at the front, three cream walking legs on each side and three cream spots on its back. On top sits its head, and from its roof two big pincer claws reach straight up, open, facing you, so you know it is a crab even from straight in front. The head is carved right through: two big round eyes and a wide grin full of teeth at the front, a trail of rising bubbles at the back. Inside the head a cream wall is lit from behind, so at night the crab grins with glowing eyes, and from behind you see its bubbles float up. Up to four laptop blades stand in a row in the body. Its walls are solid, so from outside you never see a computer board; belly, legs and spots are glued on. Air comes in through the slatted vents in the plinth and leaves through the carvings. You pick 2, 3 or 4 computers and the model stays the same size: 0.50 x 0.50 m, 99 cm tall to the tips of the claws. The claws are dark red and not lit, so at night they are only a silhouette above the glowing face.
Worth knowing
About 10.4 kg of filament with two computers and 12.2 kg with four (roughly 350 to 410 hours on a fast printer), in two colours: dark red for the body, the head and the claws, and cream for the belly, the legs, the spots, the head's floor plate and the inner wall of the head. The head is printed in nine cells with a 1.2 mm roof skin and glued together, so handle it with care. The claws are hollow and glued onto the roof by their foot; they are decoration, never lift the crab by them. They sit on the 1.2 mm roof skin, so a hard knock can snap them off. It needs two 1 m LED strips, one for each half of the inner wall. The head (plate, cells, inner wall and claws glued into one) is not glued down because it is the way in; lift it straight up with both hands under the edge of its roof, never by the claws.

Budget black PETG.
Drives: every board keeps the drive its laptop came with (system only), so there is nothing to buy. A board bought without one needs a 256 GB M.2 2280 drive (approx. €56). Optional, not in the total: one shared disk of 1 TB or more for the render manager's shared folder, on one laptop board, in its own M.2 slot, or in a USB case (approx. €19) on the base floor. Reuse an old one, or buy a 1 TB M.2 2280 drive for approx. €136–146. Drive prices are approximate (October 2026): check before buying.
