About this model

A chunky toy camper van of no particular make: a teal lower body and a cream upper body, four wheels on the sides, a split windscreen, two round headlamps and a bumper at the front, two windows on each side, and at the back a rear window, two tail lamps, a bumper and a ladder up to the roof. On the roof sits a pop-up tent: teal canvas walls under a roof shell that overhangs them, with two openings on every side and the flaps rolled up above them. Inside the tent a cream wall is lit from behind, so at night the van stays dark and only the tent glows, with a lantern hanging in the front opening whose panes light up. It is static, the wheels do not turn, and the tent reads more like a box with arched openings than like fabric. Up to four laptop blades stand in a row in the van's body. Its walls are solid, so from outside you never see a computer board; the wheels, windows and lamps are glued on. Air comes in through the slatted vents in the plinth (the wheels stand a little off them) and leaves through the tent's openings. You pick 2, 3 or 4 computers and the model stays the same size: 0.51 x 0.52 m, 77 cm tall.

Worth knowing

About 10.5 kg of filament with two computers and 12.2 kg with four (roughly 350 to 410 hours on a fast printer), in two colours: teal for the lower body, the tent, the windows and the lantern, and cream for the upper body, the roof plate, the tent's inner wall, the wheels, lamps, bumpers and ladder. The tent is printed in nine cells with a thin 1.2 mm skin and glued together, and the lantern hangs on a thin cord, so handle it with care. Only the tent glows at night, the rest of the van stays dark, and the tent reads more like a box with arched openings than like fabric. It needs two 1 m LED strips, one for each half of the liner. The van is static: the wheels do not turn. The wheels, the ladder and the bumpers are decoration, never lift or push the van by them. The tent (plate, tent, inner wall and lantern glued into one) is not glued down because it is the way in; lift it straight up with both hands under the edge of its roof shell.

Budget black PETG.

Drives: every board keeps the drive its laptop came with (system only), so there is nothing to buy. A board bought without one needs a 256 GB M.2 2280 drive (approx. €56). Optional, not in the total: one shared disk of 1 TB or more for the render manager's shared folder, on one laptop board, in its own M.2 slot, or in a USB case (approx. €19) on the base floor. Reuse an old one, or buy a 1 TB M.2 2280 drive for approx. €136–146. Drive prices are approximate (October 2026): check before buying.

To print it at this size: 12.2 kg of PETG. Add 10% for waste and test pieces and that is 14 spools of 1 kg, approx. €196–266 with the PETG below (the shopping list above already includes filament). Print time, estimated: about 660 h with the standard 0.4 mm nozzle (Ender-3 V3 SE class), 410 h with a 0.6 mm nozzle.

Print times are slicer estimates (OrcaSlicer) and may vary by ±15 %.
