What you print
Three towers to pick from: a lighthouse, a pagoda and a clock tower. Each sits on a printed collar sized for a Mac mini M4 or a 135 or 130 mm mini PC. Inside, a core holds the beads of one USB micro-LED string, one room per bead, and the wire comes up the back and runs under the collar, where you don't see it.
- Lighthouse, pagoda and clock tower, each with its light core and window inserts
- Collars for the Mac mini M4, 135 mm and 130 mm mini PCs
- Clear inserts for the lit windows, the same insert in body colour for the dark ones

What you add
| Item | What for | Price | Where |
|---|---|---|---|
| Idena 30256 USB micro LED string, 20 warm-white LEDs | One string per tower, one bead per room | €2.99 | Shop |
| Berrybase USB-C to USB-A adapter, 10 cm | Mac mini only: it has no USB-A port. Goes in a rear port. | €2.80 | Shop |
One tower on its collar, plus a gram or less per window insert: 217–259 g of PETG, about 14–17 h with a 0.4 mm nozzle, 9–10 h with a 0.6 mm one.
All in, plan + PETG (at €13.99–18.99 per kg) + the parts above: about €13–15. Not in the total: Berrybase USB-C to USB-A adapter, 10 cm.
Prices as shown on each shop's own page on 21 Oct 2026. Print times are estimates; nothing is printed yet.
Worth knowing
- On a Mac mini you need the USB-C to USB-A adapter (€2.80): the Mac mini has no USB-A port.
- The light is a soft glow for a dim room, not a lamp. About 0.6 W, going by a comparable string: Idena publishes no wattage, and nobody has measured one yet.
- The lighthouse lamp shines steady. No rotating beam: we found no solder-free part for it.
- The clock tower is the tallest piece at 216 mm, so your printer needs 220 mm of height.
- On a 130 mm mini PC (UM790 Pro class) the collar's two side clips cover 24 × 6 mm at the top-front corner of each side, where that model breathes in. No source shows where its grille sits.
